The New Studio Box

by Stephan Schmitt on April 19, 2012

We just set up a large sound booth in the middle of our office space. It is ideal for testing instruments, for sound design, and for making music.

The booth is a very cleverly-designed modular structure, made by a German company called STUDIOBOX.

It is no coincidence that the sound booth is one of the very first things we put in our work space. Since our main concerns are playability and sound, having a room to test out various systems, a place to listen very attentively, and a room for making music without worrying about neighbors is very important.

The booth is right in the middle of the working area, effectively dividing up the office into two parts. It will be easy to set up new desks and workspaces on the other side of the booth as we hire new employees.

Another nice benefit of the booth is that you can have longer telephone conversations inside without disturbing the other people working in the office.
